just moved to chicago from ohio. its been a hell of a month and a half. i am happy, excited, overwhelmed, INSPIRED, and financially... strapped. all of my saved money was spent the 1st month here, but i have absolutely no regrets as i had that time, and the funds at that time, to run around and explore my new city, eating lots of good food and having lots of good drinks. you learn a lot about yourself when you leave everything you know and start over. it made me feel alive where as back home i was completely bored and uninspired. Im 27 and i feel like my life is just getting started. now, i feel naturally high as i am new to painting (early this year) and now im addicted to expressing myself with brushes. the more i paint, i realize that my fear of commitment and monotony is totally apparent in my art... which worries my boyfriend at least i can express these feelings through my art, as opposed to taking it out on him. im excited to be apart of the art community here, and even online, excited to hear feedback, good and bad, and excited to see other people's art. more about me, im virgo, a fully functional lush, i love to run, see live blues and jazz, and i still dont know what i want to do when i grow up. but im happy.
